On-Site Since 2006

Window and glass etching, done in place

On-site sandblast etching uses a proprietary system: 180 grit — very fine — silicon carbide media under air pressure and vacuum. The media is drawn away by immediate suction as it is applied, so there is none of the dust cloud people associate with traditional sandblasting.

Because the work happens in place, there is no need to remove installed glass. That matters most on entrance doors, interior partitions and any pane that would be expensive or disruptive to take out and reinstall.

  • Privacy etching for offices, bathrooms and partitions
  • Company logos and lettering on entrance doors
  • Decorative and architectural designs on interior glass
  • House numbers, crests and custom artwork on residential glass
  • No glass removal, no dust cloud, no clean-up left to you

On-site work costs more than in-shop, because of transport and setup — but it is often cheaper than removing and reinstalling the glass. For new construction, in-shop is usually the more cost-effective route.

What you need to know

180 Grit Silicon Carbide

Very fine media under air pressure and vacuum, for a smooth even frost rather than a coarse bite.

Dustless in Practice

Immediate suction removes the media as it lands. Suitable for occupied offices and finished interiors.

Stencils at Any Size

CNC plotter-cut stencils mean a design can scale to a full storefront pane without losing linework.
