How the work actually gets done

EtchTech uses our own proprietary system using 180 grit (very fine) silicon carbide media under air pressure and vacuum. The media is removed by immediate suction as it is applied, which avoids the dust clouds associated with traditional sandblasting — and it does not require removing installed glass.

Commercial clients typically provide vector files of their logos for etching on doors and glassware. Non-commercial clients often use family crests, house numbers or silhouette images. From most black and white images we can create a vector image of any size to create the stencil.

EtchTech ALWAYS provides an all-inclusive price for your completed project. There are no additional charges beyond a possible trip fee for locations more than 35 miles from Lakewood — and that fee is included in the price you are quoted, never added afterwards.

There will never be a charge for the numerous proofs you will be provided. You receive multiple versions with varying sizes and fonts, and we keep refining until the design meets your expectations.

On-site work costs more because of the transportation and setup involved. However, on-site may still be preferable to removing installed glass. For new construction projects, in-shop work is typically the more cost-effective option.
